Position Summary:
Cheza Nami is seeking a dynamic and culturally competent Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and charismatic leader with a passion for cultural education and community engagement, particularly within African and diasporic communities. This part-time position requires a leader who can enhance the visibility, financial stability, and community impact of Cheza Nami.
Key Responsibilities:

– Proven experience in a leadership role within a nonprofit organization, preferably with a focus on cultural education or community engagement.
– Strong cultural competency, with experience working in or with African and diasporic communities.
– Demonstrated success in fundraising, including grant writing, corporate partnerships, and digital campaigns.
– Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting.
– Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
– A dynamic, charismatic, and collaborative leadership style that inspires and motivates staff, volunteers, and the community.
– Knowledge of or connections within the local community, particularly within African diasporic communities in California, is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Advanced degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Experience in marketing, public relations, or social media management.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Administrative intern/volunteer provides administrative support to the Board of Directors with duties including but not limited to bookkeeping, cultural program development, and general administrative duties. Reports directly to the CEO of the organization.

This Internship position will be a key role for our organization. A minimum of 6-9 months commitment will be needed.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Grant Writer and Team Leader you are responsible for increasing support from foundations, corporations, governments, and other grant-making entities. The ideal candidate will have experience in researching funding prospects, writing grant proposals, and securing grants from private sources. As a Grant Writer manage the researching of grant opportunities and the writing of grant proposals, including leading a team to consensus on what grants Cheza Nami should seek, gathering appropriate data when necessary, gaining approval from the board of directors for the submission of final drafts of grant proposals, and meeting grant deadlines. Additionally, the Grant Writer acts as an advisor and key resource to the board on a spectrum of fundraising opportunities.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Help Cheza Nami promote awareness and market our cause by connectivity through web community and content. The Web marketer must understand marketing concepts, search engine optimization and have experience with social media programs, campaigns and projects.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working under the directors direction, must be able to drive Cheza Nami social media programs by building capabilities for Blogging, Discussion Forums, PR and Article Marketing.
